[10:15:41] Merch We've successfully made it back to Athens, on our way to Nevsehir. We will be avoiding Ankara which apparently sufferred a small bombing last week, not unlike ny first round in Spain.

[10:17:42] Merch Every flight so far has required going back through security, and each time it seems the policies can be different, even in the same airport. The first time through Athens, my DSLR camera and each lens was inspected manually; on the return it simply went through the x-ray machine.

[10:19:57] Merch Santorini itself has an interesting characteristic, along the caldera and in Tourist-towns, the city looks like a western, fairly-well developed European city (a little old, a little cramped). Five minutes to the south or east and there is vast openess and construction or houses that look simply abandoned.
